About Who We Are
We are your friends and neighbors, maybe even members of your ward. We are stewards of the earth, and we take our responsibility seriously. Together, we change the world.
Latter-day Saint Earth Stewardship (LDSES)
Three core ideas guide Latter-day Saint Earth Stewardship (LDSES).
- Earth stewardship is spiritually-based. We root our reverence for the earth in teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The LDSES Resource Library is a valuable archive to help us understand the importance of earth stewardship in the gospel.
- Earth stewardship is a personal responsibility. Every individual has an obligation to understand and act as a steward at the personal level. Laws, politics, and public policies are important tools for protecting creation, but our foundation is understanding at the personal level.
- Earth stewardship is respectful. Conversations about stewardship help us understand each other and the meaning of stewardship. Reasonable people may disagree about practice, but we navigate those differences with charity and respect.
LDSES is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit, incorporated in the state of Utah. The organization has no formal relationship with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and welcomes supporters regardless of religious affiliation.
